Would it be fair that the UK allows Polish family law to be used here?

It’s quite OK – Polish Family and Guardianship Code (1956 & 1964).
Just seems like we will be living in a pick ‘n’ mix legal system shortly and it’s only fair then that anyone can choose what law they will follow.
If we are going to allow Sharia Law – why not.
I think it’s terrible.
As you say, the Polish system is probably OK, but if you are in the UK, you play by our rules…

It’s no to the Poles, and it’s no to the Muslims. To achieve this, we will also have to say no to the EU, because, ‘OUR LAWS’ as people keep referring to, are increasingly becoming the EU law, and not ours at all. (as they used to be)

Yes it would only be ‘fair’ that any community can choose their own civil law if one section of the community can.
This goes against the theory of one law for all and will further segregate society in the UK.

That is a question that should never even be seriously considered. If someone wants to migrate to your country they should either accept the laws and customs of the country in question or stay the hell out. If you give up your countries identity it will eventually be no more. Just look at what’s happening to France now with the mass influx of Muslim migrants. Very sad.
