Can someone point me in the direction of an African American (preferably Female) family law attorney? I am a black dad trying to get custody of my 2 daughters, and i feel an African American lawyer would be best for my case.
I live in the Cincinnati area.

I would check either the Yellow Pages or Christian Blue Pages. You can even call some African American churches or African American real estate agents to see if they can help you. Even if you do not find an African American attorney, I am sure Cincinnati has plenty of qualified attorneys who can help you get custody of your 2 daughters.

There is also a phone number that you can call. I believe either way you can do a request for an attorney based upon type of law practiced, location, and possibly race/gender (I’m not positive on the last one though).
Good luck, but honestly race & gender do not have much to do with what a lawyer can do for you. It is more dependent upon their own personal skills. I would go upon their reputation and record than their race or gender.
Just an FYI…Cincinnati’s family law lawyers tend to fall into one of two categories: 1. Knock em out fight to the death leave no salvagable relationship afterwards 2. Mediatiors who want to have an agreement before ever entering the courthouse.
Either way, if being with you is the best thing for your children…good luck!
